What skin products do I use?

We've gone over my top 5 hair products in my arsenal...now, lets talk products for my face! Crissy is always telling me to take better care of my skin...and I swear, I'm trying to! I turned 31 last year and noticed it on my face more than anywhere else. My skin is combination dry and oily, sensitive with eczema, and I also know I definitely don't exfoliate enough...oops....

I wear makeup most days and my skin can get...for lack of a better term- gross. So, I've been trying to pay better attention to it and find products that my face loves. I've narrowed it down to 5 types of products, and am currently trying different product lines to zero in on one that works for me.

Face Wash- Bio Elements Foaming Face Wash

I love this face wash! I use about 4 pumps of this face wash twice daily. I love it because the fragrance is not overpowering, I don't have any burning when washing around my eyes, and it comes out of the pump bottle in a nice lather that is gentle and easily manipulated around my face and neck.

Toner- Bio Elements Equalizer

I went a long time without using a toner or equalizer. It wasn't until I understood pH in relation to hair and skin that I understood why toners are essential in any skincare regimen. A toner's pH is matched to the pH of skin, so it effectively closes the pores that are opened during cleansing and also acts as a humectant, which helps bind moisture to the skins surface. We all was small pores, right? This is how you do it!

Eye Cream- Environ Youth EssentiA Vita-Peptide Eye Gel

My skin under my eyes is noticeably thinner and more fragile than it was a few years ago and requires tender care. This eye gel infuses the cells with revitalizing vitamins and peptides that help keep the bags at bay!

Moisturizer- First Aid Beauty Tinted Moisturizer and Environ Hydrating Clay Masque

For everyday use, I love the First Aid Beauty Tinted Moisturizer. It gives my skin a light coating of blemish concealing foundation and infuses a lightweight moisturizer into my skin. It is creamy and thick, but spreads easily once warmed by friction. It also saves me a step because SPF 30 is also mixed into the product, which many people forget. SPF is imperative to all of your skin, and is usually overlooked (especially on the face) by many. Protection from the sun is vital to keeping your skin looking youthful and more importantly, healthy.

When my FAB Moisturizer just isn't cutting it and my face is in need of some additional moisturizing, the Environ Skin EssentiA Clay Masque is my go-to. Its lightweight yet powerful, and can be left on overnight for more extreme results.

Oops! I almost forgot the most important product that has saved my skin completely...

Exfoliator- GlamGlow YOUTHMUD Tinglexfoliate Treatment

This stuff is a life saver! Once or twice a week I will use the exfoliating mask by GlamGlow to slough off the dead skin and dry patches that take residence on my face. It also moisturizes and lifts away any impurities without eliminating the skin’s essential oils. It is packed with antiaging ingredients to brighten and smooth the skin and gives it a tighter, more youthful appearance. Exfoliating is so essential to skin care. I notice my skin looking more vibrant, my makeup adhering better, and it feels so soft!

So, there you have it! I'm finally getting the hang of this skin regimen thing people have been talking about for years...and I'm working on finding specific products that really help my skin. The difference is noticeable in pictures and in the feel of my skin, I'm loving it! Talk to Crissy at Bantam Salon & Spa to have your skin analyzed and to start a regimen of your own!

Have a beautiful weekend!
